Lianjiang Zhu (b. 1997, Wenzhou, China) is a London-based artist working with moving image, installation, and performance. His practice investigates how operational processes structure visibility, perception, and presence.
Through strategies such as delay, obstruction, substitution, and procedural displacement, he constructs conditions in which acts of seeing are misaligned, subjects may be replaced, and visibility is partially occluded. Rather than representing identity or narrating content, his works examine how procedural logics govern perception and existence, revealing how individuals are positioned, misread, and processed within technical and social systems.
