(b. 1997, Wenzhou, China; based in London and China)

Lianjiang explores the intersection of digital technology, corporeality, and subjectivity through moving image and performance. His practice interrogates how digital technologies deconstruct and reconfigure traditional conceptions of the body, rendering identity and subjectivity fluid, unstable, and oscillating between virtual and physical realms.

Through processes of replication, mutation, and simulation, he constructs transient and indeterminate bodily forms that expose the latent mechanisms of surveillance embedded within social, political, and technological structures, as well as their influence on self-perception. His works employ fractured and shifting narratives to evoke the precarious existence of individuals within digital landscapes, unsettling the viewer’s perception of reality, control, and agency.
