Bio
Lianjiang works across moving image, installation and text. His practice shifts familiar elements beyond the environments in which they ordinarily exist, exploring how changes in context reshape the relationships between objects, materials and their conditions of appearance. Through subtle interventions in material, process and display, his works reveal aspects of familiar things that often remain unnoticed, allowing them to be encountered in new ways. By reconfiguring existing forms rather than introducing new ones, his practice considers how meaning and presence are continuously shaped by the circumstances in which things are experienced.
